The eclectic mix of energized electro-disco that is Glycerin boldly explores the modern electronic musician’s gamut. Opening with the snappy wah keys of K O harks back to the heavily sampled funk-disco sounds of Daft Punk’s Discovery. A vast layer of synth pad, strings, horns, and flute, slave to the steady kick drum, feels like Earth, Wind & Fire was hijacked by a TR-808 in Wake Me. From the unique flavors of Nu-Disco in the intense, heart-stopping Wishing, Waiting to the “Must Dance” R&B sounds of What We’ve Done To Each Other, Glycerin is purely a journey through space and time that will inspire and challenge the listener.
